Business Policies
Performance Information
- When you book Take Cover!, you deal directly with the folks creating your
musical magic. No middle man here. You build a rapport with us, and can
feel comfortable putting your event entertainment in our capable hands.
- Performance fees are determined by several factors including distance,
event duration, equipment required, etc. Rest assured that not only will you
receive a reasonable price quote, but you will most definitely get your
money's worth - and then some!
- For the protection of all parties concerned, we require a contract and
retainer for all performances. The balance is due on the day of the event
payable in cash, cashier's check, or certified funds. We do not accept
personal checks or credit cards as final payment.
- We arrive in sufficient time for set up and sound checks, allocating approx.
1.5 hours for load-in/set-up and 1 hour for break-down/load-out. We are
flexible, however, and work within each venue's logistics requirements.
- Take Cover! does not supply a stage or electrical generators. If you are
planning an outdoor event that requires generators, please contact us to
ensure the equipment that you lease will provide sufficient power.
- Please visit our calendar page to check availability; it is updated as soon
as new bookings are confirmed.
Performance Information
- The event run-of-show (announcements, number of sets, break times/length,
etc.,) will be included in the contract upon approval by both parties.
- We pride ourselves on our versatility and ability to play music from "old
school" to "new school" and everything in between. We do our homework,
tailoring our song list to the type of event and audience. However, this is
YOUR event, and we are totally committed to playing whatever music YOU
prefer. Please feel free to request additional/special songs. We only ask that
for the best results, you provide us with all special requests no later than
four weeks before the event date.
- Take Cover! has a knack for "reading" the crowd; songs are rearranged,
added, and removed based on your audience's reaction(s). Our goal is to
ensure that you and your guests have a good time from start to finish!
- The band's volume is monitored continually, and adjusted as necessary
(or requested) to keep levels comfortable for the entire room, yet dynamic
enough for all the party people on the dance floor.
